Mac OS X Zip: Instructions on how to download digital SUBSCRIPTION MP3 files.

These instructions are geared toward the Mac OS X user who uses Safari 4 as the default browser. The zip file format provides a separate MP3 file for each track of the recording.

  • Login to your MyAccount with your username and password

  • Once you have logged in, click on the Digital MP3 file that you wish to download. The MP3 Subscription files that you have paid for are listed under the MP3 Subscriptions section, the newest one will be at the top.

  • You will be given 3 different download options for your file. Here we will demonstrate how to download and play the .ZIP version for Mac OS X. Click on the file name once and only once to begin downloading the file to your computer. Safari will immediately begin to save the zip file to your Downloads folder. If your Safari browser is not already open, it may take a minute for the download to begin.

Tip: If you can't see the Downloads window, go to your Safari browser, click on the Window menu on the top menu bar, and select Downloads. This should display the Downloads window as shown above.

  • Wait a few minutes for your download to complete. Once the download is complete, your Downloads window should look like the one above. Simply click on the little magnifying glass icon to the right of the folder name to "Reveal in Finder".

  • You will see the folder in your Finder, it will have the same name as the zip file but it will display a folder icon next to it as shown above and there will be no .zip on the end of the name. Double click the folder to see what is inside of it.

Tip: If you click on the Date Modified column heading the newest files will be at the top of the list.

  • Here you see the MP3 files for your subscription. Each track of the recording is in a separate MP3 file. You can now play these MP3 files on the media player of your choice.
